August 18: All About Kvann Angelica presented by Kari Tauring
Kari Tauring, well known cultural artist and educator, will present on the Kvann a Norwegian Mountain Angelica. The Kvann, a highly valued plant in Norwegian history, has many uses and folklore surrounding it. Kari will present its history and uses with humor and a balance of scholarship and lived experience. Tauring teaches runes, primstav, and folklore at Norway House MN and for countless cultural organizations. This is sure to be fun for gardeners as well as anyone who enjoys Nordic history.

September 15: Native Planting and Eliminating Invasives presented by Stirling Cousins
Stirling Cousins is a master naturalist and has created many native gardens including at several of her own homes as well as at a church and a school. She enjoys teaching people how to support nature by helping them to create their own native habitats. She will present on the importance of native plants and how to create your own native habitat in your yard. She will also talk about common invasive plants and how to remove them.
