Our Mission

Volunteer run 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to:

• Use plants, gardening skills and resources to beautify the community

• Expand and encourage gardening techniques unique to North Oaks and our changing Minnesota climate through education and mentoring

• Contribute to the community through service-based projects

• Provide social opportunities centered around gardening

Examples of what we do

• Educational programs

• Boughs and Bows on street signs for the Holiday season

• Annual plant sale of locally sourced plants and hanging pots

• Entrance and Rec center planters watering and maintenance

• Annual garden tour of gardens in North Oaks

• Beautification of rooftop garden at burn unit at Regions Hospital

How we give back to the community

• Proceeds from our plant sale and dues allow the club to support education programs, purchase boughs and bows for holiday season displays, and make donations to programs such as:

  • Bee Research Lab

  • Bluebird recovery project

  • Como Park Conservatory

  • MN landscape Arboretum

  • Hill Farm well and and roof project

  • Mary Hill reforestation

  • Benches and plantings at Eastern and Western Rec center
