September 14: North Oaks Garden Club Annual Meeting
Join garden club members on Monday, September 14, at the West Rec Center from 6:30–8:00 p.m. for the garden club annual meeting. New members are welcome! Club officers will review 2026 activities, share plans for 2027, and present funding proposals for a member vote. Members may bring an appetizer or treat to share during the 6:30 p.m. social time. The meeting begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.. Annual dues are $20, payable at the meeting or directly through the website under the Join tab.

September 15: Native Planting and Eliminating Invasives presented by Stirling Cousins
Stirling Cousins is a master naturalist and has created many native gardens including at several of her own homes as well as at a church and a school. She enjoys teaching people how to support nature by helping them to create their own native habitats. She will present on the importance of native plants and how to create your own native habitat in your yard. She will also talk about common invasive plants and how to remove them.
